Frontiers in Energy 2007, Volume 1, Issue 3,   Pages 259-263 doi: 10.1007/s11708-007-0036-4

Abstract: This study deals with the simultaneous removal of sulfur dioxide (SO) and trace selenium dioxide (SeOThe effect of SO presence on selenium capture is studied through the experiments performed on a thermogravimetricand the reaction rate is controlled by chemical reaction kinetics, the SO presence does not affect seleniumproduct layer diffusion, the SO presence and the product layer diffusion resistance jointly reduce seleniumTherefore, it is feasible that sulfur and trace selenium can be simultaneously removed by Ca-based sorbent

Moisture Absorption and Desorption in an Ionomer-Based Encapsulant: A Type of Self-Breathing Encapsulant for CIGS Thin-Film PV Modules Article

Miao Yang, Raymund Schäffler, Tobias Repmann, Kay Orgassa

Engineering 2020, Volume 6, Issue 12,   Pages 1403-1407 doi: 10.1016/j.eng.2020.02.020

Abstract:

As an alternative to conventional encapsulation concepts for a double glass photovoltaic (PV) module, we introduce an innovative ionomer-based multi-layer encapsulant, by which the application of additional edge sealing to prevent moisture penetration is not required. The spontaneous moisture absorption and desorption of this encapsulant and its raw materials, poly (ethylene-co-acrylic acid) and an ionomer, are analyzed under different climatic conditions in this work. The relative air humidity is thermodynamically the driving force for these inverse processes and determines the corresponding equilibrium moisture content (EMC). Higher air humidity results in a larger EMC. The homogenization of the absorbed water molecules is a diffusion-controlled process, in which temperature plays a dominant role. Nevertheless, the diffusion coefficient at a higher temperature is still relatively low. Hence, under normal climatic conditions for the application of PV modules, we believe that the investigated ionomer-based encapsulant can "breathe" the humidity: During the day, when there is higher relative humidity, it "inhales" (absorbs) moisture and restrains it within the outer edge of the module; then at night, when there is a lower relative humidity, it "exhales" (desorbs) the moisture. In this way, the encapsulant protects the cell from moisture ingress.

Abstract: Above 97% removal of soluble selenium (Se) was achieved continuously.Various Se-reducing bacteria likely contributed to coordinately to Se removal.Selenium (Se)-containing industrial wastewater is often coupled with notable salinity.Although the SBR maintained soluble Se removal of above 97%, considerable amount of solid Se remainedThis study will offer implications for practical biological treatment of selenium in saline wastewater

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2019, Volume 20, Issue 11,   Pages 1465-1492 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1900094

Abstract: During the past years, a number of concepts have been proposed, such as cloud manufacturing, Industry 4.0, and Industrial Internet. One of their common aims is to optimize the collaborative resource configuration across enterprises by establishing s that aggregate distributed resources. In all of these concepts, a complete manufacturing system consists of distributed physical manufacturing systems and a containing the virtual manufacturing systems mapped from the physical ones. We call such manufacturing systems -based systems (PSMSs). A PSMS can therefore be regarded as a huge cyber-physical system with the cyber part being the and the physical part being the corresponding physical manufacturing system. A significant issue for a PSMS is how to optimally schedule the aggregated resources. technology provides an effective approach for solving this issue. In this paper we propose a architecture for in PSMSs, which consists of a -level system (MAS) and an enterprise- level MAS. Procedures, characteristics, and requirements of in PSMSs are presented. A model for in a PSMS based on the architecture is proposed. A case study is conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed architecture and model.
